★ धार्मिक स्थिति : जिस समय इस्लाम सूर्य उदित हुआ , यही दीन-धर्म थे जो अरब में पाए जाते थे , लेकिन ये सारे धर्म टूट-फूट के शिकार थे . मुशरिक जिनका दावा था कि हम दीने इब्राहीमी पर हैं , इब्राहीमी शरीअत के करने , न करने के आदेश से कोसो दूर थे . इस शरीअत ने जिस नैतिकता की शिक्षा दी थी , उनसे इन मुशरिकों का कोई ताल्लुक़ न था . उनमे गुनाहों की भरमार थी और लम्बा समय बीतने के कारण इनमे भी बुत परस्तों की वही आदते और रस्मे पैदा हो चली थी , जिन्हें धार्मिक अंधविश्वास का पद प्राप्त है . इन आदतों और रस्मो ने उनके सामूहिक , राजनितिक और धार्मिक जीवन पर बड़े गहरे प्रभाव डाले थे

Abrahamism, were so far detached from its precepts, and totally oblivious of its immanent good
manners. They plunged into disobedience and ungodliness, and developed certain peculiar religious
superstitions that managed to leave a serious impact on the religious and socio-political life in the whole of Arabia.
